Night After Memorial Day- Yard House Experience

Night After Memorial Day- Yard House Experience

What do you do the day after Memorial Day when you decided to pick up a shift and work the entire holiday? You work again. I had an idea that I wasn't going to do much so I figured since I work from home anyway and I could use the extra cash for my LA trip next month, why not. I had an eventful weekend leading up to it anyway so I celebrated enough to enjoy myself through the holiday.

The main reason for celebration was for my bro Cortell's birthday. We've been friends since the 5th grade and counting. That's my boy so we had to celebrate it well. Its the 31st, I know its a day late but be sure to tell him Happy Birthday anyway, it still counts, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. (lol) So after a weekend of turn up, I went back to my Clark Kent (9-5, well 9:30-8 for me) in good vibes.

Tuesday, day after the holiday, being his actual birthday, he still wanted to celebrate. So after work, I mentioned we should go to one of KC's best late night spots in P&L called Yardhouse. My first experience there I was celebrating another good friend of mine Drew and his wife Telese wedding for a rehearsal dinner. Everything was amazing! From the ambience, to the beer, wine, shitake garlic noodles, to the vodka tonic with extra lime.... I was completely satisfied.

This time we went for the happy hour so I got the boneless buffalo wings, which are like my staple go to "happy hr meal" at any restaurant. With a vodka tonic, extra lime its an unwritten fact. Mind you, I eat/drink this combo a lot but my go 'round here was especially good! From the food placement to the choice of well, it was better than I could've imagined.

Overall, my experiences here have been nothing short of amazing.  I recommend Yardhouse for any occasion, rather its a wedding rehearsal dinner, birthday dinner with friends, or just a drink after a long day at work, you won't be disappointed. Check them out Kansas City!
